Rooney Mara, 29, isn’t content with just being an Oscar-nominated actress. The Bedford native, 29, is adding producer to her resume.
Rooney is working with Annapurna Pictures to produce the drama “A House in the Sky.” The film will tell the true story of journalist Amanda Lindhout, who was abducted by a rebel terrorist group in Mogadishu, Somalia and held captive along with photographer Nigel Brennan for 15 months in 2008.
The actress, who recently wrapped on the film “Carol,” might also step into the lead role of the kidnap victim, who was abused and kept in chains throughout her captivity.
Rooney is also set to play Tiger Lily in the upcoming Warner Bros. film “Pan.”
