Sorry for the lack of updates! But here are the new high quality photos of Rooney Mara attends the Women’s Spring 2015 Collection Runway Show held at Spring Studios, NYC on September 11, 2014.
Australian writer-director Diesel Shwarze, a Baz Luhrmann protegé, is developing an original musical feature film called Ziggy. The plot revolves around a hunchback escape artist who moves to New York in the 1920s and falls in love with the fiancée of a media mogul.
Shwarze worked with Luhrmann on Moulin Rouge and is teaming up with music producer and songwriter Alex Da Kid to develop the music. Kid has worked with Rihanna, Nicki Minaj and Dr. Dre.
Rooney Mara (The Social Network, Girl With the Dragon Tattoo) is attached to the picture, as is Dane DeHaan (Chronicle, The Amazing Spider-Man 2).
After wrapping Joe Wright’s Pan picture in London, Rooney Mara will head for the Jim Sheridan-helmed The Secret Scripture. The drama, about a 100-year-old woman named Roseanne who recounts her life in mental institutions in a secret memoir, is gearing up for a September shoot in Ireland.
Jessica Chastain was previously attached to star alongside Vanessa Redgrave, but now Mara will play the younger Roseanne, who survives a traumatic childhood only to see her life utterly changed by a vindictive Catholic priest.
Pic reunites Sheridan with his My Left Foot producer Noel Pearson and is adapted by Johnny Ferguson from Sebastian Barry’s 2008 novel of the same name. Rooney is also currently developing A House In The Sky with Annapurna Pictures, which she’ll star in and produce. She’s repped by WME and Management 360.
Rooney Mara, 29, isn’t content with just being an Oscar-nominated actress. The Bedford native, 29, is adding producer to her resume.
Rooney is working with Annapurna Pictures to produce the drama “A House in the Sky.” The film will tell the true story of journalist Amanda Lindhout, who was abducted by a rebel terrorist group in Mogadishu, Somalia and held captive along with photographer Nigel Brennan for 15 months in 2008.
The actress, who recently wrapped on the film “Carol,” might also step into the lead role of the kidnap victim, who was abused and kept in chains throughout her captivity.
Rooney is also set to play Tiger Lily in the upcoming Warner Bros. film “Pan.”
